Lots of catching up to do!

It's been a while since I did a blog post, so here goes!

We left Yosemite and headed north and west in California.  On the way, we spent some time in Willow Creek since the kids are so interested in BigFoot.  Luckily, we didn't see any real ones, but they did find this statue.
On the toes of BigFoot!

Next we headed out to the coast.  We made some stops along the way, and spent the Fourth of July in Crescent City CA.  We had some great times exploring the beach, tidepools and Redwoods National Park.
Kids on a fallen Redwood on the beach.

Mom & dad on the beach.

Now we're in Hammond, OR at the KOA.  Yesterday we went to the beach and saw the wreck of the Peter Iredale.  Of course the kids had to climb on it.  :(  We had fun flying a kite and finding sand dollars.

I hope they're all up-to-date on tetanus!

Great campfire on the beach near our campsite. :)

Beautiful Yosemite

We spent the last couple of days in Yosemite National Park.  We saw some beautiful sights, including Half Dome, El Capitan, waterfalls, sequoias and wildlife.  No bears though!

Our campsite near the park.  The landscape is very dramatic here!

Some of the kids took a mountaineering class and learned how to climb.
We were scared the WHOLE TIME.

Visiting the sequoias.  Some kids never learn to follow the rules.
